As the Product Designer on The Weather Network TV App team, I led the UX/UI and Product redesign efforts across multiple smart TV platforms. I collaborated closely with product managers, engineers, graphic designers, analytics and content teams to reimagine and redesign the old TV app and deliver a seamless, accessible, and scalable TV app experience.
Over 3 years at The Weather Network, I worked on 7+ major product initiatives, including the total redesign and reimagining the The Weather Network TV apps, FAST Channel L-shape frame, the web pages on the TWN and MM (MétéoMédia) websites, the ownership of the tv apps design projects and the TV app content management, marketing campaigns content creation for the TV apps, mobile and web platforms. The Weather Network Smart TV app delivers up-to-date local weather forecasts, LIVE TV streaming, and exclusive on-demand video content. In addition to hyper-local, customizable weather data, the app includes original weather-related programming and user-generated content (UGC), creating a balanced utility + entertainment experience.
The original app, released in 2015, was outdated and difficult to navigate. Users struggled with key flows, particularly around weather customization and video content discovery. The interface lacked cohesion with TWN’s mobile and web products, and failed to support business goals related to content engagement and regional personalization.
